The Chkalov Novosibirsk Aviation Plant has manufactured and delivered to the troops the next batch of Su-34s as part of the state defence order. As part of the fulfilment of the state defence order, another batch of Su-34 frontline bombers has been manufactured and delivered to the troops. The machines have undergone a set of ground and flight tests before being sent to the customer, the United Aircraft Corporation reported.
According to UAC Director General Yuri Slyusar, the company is already implementing next year’s programme. Its volume will be significantly increased and the necessary production stock has been created, he said.
“The plant is also loaded with work on servicing and maintaining the airworthiness of aircraft that are already in service,” Yuri Slyusar added.
Su-34 frontline bombers form an important part of the striking power of the Russian frontline aviation, they are characterised by high manoeuvrability and significant combat power, thanks to which they can be used in a wide range of missions. The aircraft carry FAB-500 and FAB-1500 bombs, as well as RBC-500 bombs with universal planning modules.
