Aeroflot-Technics specialists do a complete preparation of the airplanes before the introduction into service, the carrier’s representative assured that all necessary spare parts and technical means are available.
According to him, the storage of the planes was a temporary solution – it helped to avoid unnecessary losses. The company was able to rethink the network of routes abroad and effectively increase its presence in the market of domestic transportation, including regional routes with tourism potential, he added.
Aeroflot has been constantly using 150 planes since the beginning of the year and has a fleet of 179 planes, according to the carrier’s website. One of them, an SSJ100, will be handed over to a subsidiary of the Rossiya airline, and the other seven planes are locked up in foreign countries.
Aeroflot’s spokesman said the return of the planes will allow the airline to carry more than 22.5 million passengers in 2023 and more than 43.5 million passengers as a group. The airline will operate more than 30 flights daily during the summer months.
