A new linear maintenance station at Mineralnye Vody Airport has been opened by Aeroflot Technics, a provider of aircraft maintenance and repair services, 15 of the company’s divisions in Russia’s regions. This station will provide operational maintenance of narrow-body Airbus A320, Boeing 737NG and Superjet 100 airliners, Aeroflot’s press service reported.
The station has been successfully certified by aviation authorities and has modern material and technical base. It is staffed with highly qualified specialists who have the necessary tolerances for various types of routine operations. The engineering staff of the line station will be engaged in technical support of arrivals and departures of flights of Aeroflot Group airlines and other Russian air carriers.
In the winter seasonal schedule, Aeroflot operates flights from Mineralnye Vody to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Ufa. Pobeda and Rossiya Airlines offer flights to Moscow, St Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk and Yerevan. During the New Year holidays, the total number of flights of the Group’s airlines from Mineralnye Vody Airport will reach 125 flights per week.
With the opening of the new station in Mineralnye Vody, the total number of Aeroflot Technics stations in Russian cities has reached 15, with the provider’s units servicing aircraft at airports from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. The expansion of the geography of the company’s presence allows it not only to provide high-quality maintenance services at off-base airports, but also to create new jobs for qualified aviation technical personnel.
