On the eve of the New Year 2024 and Christmas holidays, Sheremetyevo International Airport has become a platform for the embodiment of a winter fairy tale. Passengers and guests at the terminals of the country’s largest aviation harbour will plunge into the atmosphere of a magical forest, harmony and beauty. New Year’s magic at Sheremetyevo will bring a festive mood to everyone who will be at the airport these days.

The festive decorations begin already at the entrance to the airport terminal. An alley of glowing trees and panoramic windows of the transition galleries from the car park to the terminals create a unique atmosphere of the approaching holiday. An art installation with the silhouette of Father Christmas’ reindeer sled and a scattering of stars seems to transport travellers to a children’s fairy tale. Inside the terminals, travellers are greeted by a “real forest” of beautifully decorated fir trees. Garlands and stylised spruce arches hang everywhere, and live coniferous compositions fill the air with a pleasant fragrance. Original suspended structures, floating fir trees and balloons attract attention and give delight to both adults and children.

“For those who want to make a New Year’s wish, Sheremetyevo has a Father Christmas Post. Large brightly coloured letter boxes are installed in publicly accessible departure areas. Passengers and guests of the airport can write to Ded Moroz about their deepest wish and send him a message. And on 26 December Father Christmas himself with postmen will come to Sheremetyevo to congratulate passengers and give them New Year surprises”, – commented in Sheremetyevo.

The main fir tree, eleven metres high, is located in the departure area of Terminal B. Its top is made in the form of a plane taking off, and a whirlwind neatly frames the crown. The leading aviation partners of the airport, Aeroflot and Pobeda Airlines, also decorated the trees in a festive manner.
