Russian aircraft manufacturers have handed over new Su-35S multi-role fighters to the Russian Air Force. Deliveries of the Su-57s will increase this year, the United Aircraft Corporation said.

“We will continue fulfilling our obligations under the contracts we have signed. The Su-35s of the next batches are in production. In addition, this year the volume of deliveries of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters to the Russian Air Force will increase,” UAC General Director Yury Slyusar said.

The Su-35S is one of the best operational and tactical aircraft in the world, which can perform a wide range of missions and enjoy well-deserved success. A batch of the new aircraft has been delivered to the Russian Ministry of Defence by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant named after Yu. The combat aircraft flew from the factory airfield to the basing airfield.

The Su-35S was received by the technical services and subjected to factory tests. Each aircraft was tested in the air in various operating modes.

“Rhythmic fulfilment of the state defence order in compliance with all delivery deadlines and meeting the need of our armed forces for modern equipment is the priority task of the military-industrial complex. This work is overseen by the coordination council under the Russian government,” said Denis Manturov, deputy prime minister and head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Thanks to state support, the UAC companies fulfilling the state defense order were able to commission new production facilities, increase serial production and increase production volumes, the corporation’s press service added.
