Production of kamikaze drones to be sent to the special military operation zone has been launched in Kamchatka, Kamchatka Territory Governor Vladimir Solodov said in his TG-channel. The first batch of 80 drones is already ready for dispatch.
“Production of kamikaze drones has been launched in Kamchatka – we will send them to our fighters in the zone of special military operation. The first batch of 80 drones is ready for dispatch. The equipment will be received by servicemen of the 40th Marine Brigade, fighters in the 110th and 164th brigades,” the report says.
He added that another task of the regional government is to ensure communication between Kamchatka manufacturers and operators, as well as to train units of the Russian Armed Forces, which are based on the territory of the region, to operate and maintain drones. This opportunity came about because the project was supported within the Patriotic Advanced Development Territory.
There are 183 defence industry companies operating in the Far East, some of which have received subsidies for accelerated production preparation to produce the most in-demand equipment. In addition to defence industrial complex enterprises, new production initiatives are being launched in the Far East to meet the needs of special military operations. The Patriotic ADT is being created to support such enterprises.
