Based on the results of the competitive selection process, the Perm company UEC-Aviadvigatel has won a grant of the Russian Information Technology Development Fund for the implementation of the project on import substitution of software products. The grant financing will amount to 1 billion 174 million rubles. The domestic software of the PLM and CAD categories with the possibility to design the products from polymer composite materials will be introduced for these means. The press-service of the United Engine Corporation (UEC) informed about it.
The project was initiated in order to maintain the stability of the design and technological works at all stages of the life cycle of aircraft engine and exclude the breach of rhythm of production processes in the conditions of sanctions.
“The project is included in the list of especially significant projects and is included in the roadmap New Industrial Software. The software development is aimed to achieve technological independence of the engine building industry. Perm Design Bureau acts as a competence center for the formation of unified requirements for UEC enterprises – developers of new aircraft engines, as well as a pilot site for the implementation of Russian software,” said Vyacheslav Khristolyubov, UEC Director for Digital Transformation.
Today UEC-Aviadvigatel implements a comprehensive program of import substitution of foreign software and IT-equipment. Ready domestic solutions meet the needs of the Design Bureau by 70%. In some cases, for example for design of parts from polymer composite materials, there are no Russian analogues.
A team of designers, technologists, calculation engineers, and production representatives will work on software import substitution. It should prepare the requirements for creating an advanced product.
