The aircraft were manufactured at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yuri Gagarin. Judging by the video distributed by UAC, the Air Force received two Su-35S fighters.

“The Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant produces aircraft under the state defence order within the terms stipulated by the contracts, including ahead of delivery schedules, meeting the needs of the Russian Air Force in modern aircraft systems,” UAC CEO Yury Slyusar said.

“The Su-35S multifunctional fighters of generation 4++ have passed a cycle of ground and flight tests in various operating modes and flew from the KnAAZ airfield to the place of duty,” UAC said.

Earlier, at the end of June, KnAAZ handed over the next Su-35S fighters to the Air Force. The number of machines was also not specified. “We will continue to fulfil our obligations under the concluded contracts. Su-35 aircraft of the next batches are in production. In addition, this year, the volume of deliveries of Su-57 fifth-generation fighters to the Russian Air Force will increase,” Yury Slyusar said at the time.

On June 10, First Deputy Director General of Rostec State Corporation Vladimir Artyakov said in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel that aircraft plants in Irkutsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Novosibirsk have doubled production of Su-30SM and Su-35S fighters, as well as Su-34 frontline bombers for deliveries to the Russian Ministry of Defence.
