The new helicopter is equipped with modernised onboard radio electronic equipment and several domestic components and systems. The helicopter’s power plant consists of two VK-650V turboshaft engines, which significantly increases its localisation, the holding’s press service said.
Additionally, the Ansat can be equipped with an additional fuel tank, increasing the flight range to 800 kilometres. Such modification makes the helicopter more efficient for long missions and expands its operational capabilities.
The special medical module includes an artificial lung ventilation system, tele-ECG and other specialised equipment. The imported version of the helicopter has already proven itself in practical terms and is being actively operated by the National Air Ambulance Service. In the first five months of 2024 alone, it evacuated more than five thousand people, including almost a thousand children.
“Ansat” has the most spacious cabin in its class, which makes it convenient for performing various tasks. Its operational characteristics allow the helicopter to be used at temperatures from -45 to +50 degrees Celsius and in high altitude conditions. High manoeuvrability and ease of maintenance make it possible to effectively use the machine in dense urban areas.
In addition to the helicopter demonstration, the forum guests saw a multimedia installation dedicated to the modernisation and import substitution process of the Ansat.
The international military-technical forum “Army-2024” is held from 12 to 14 August in the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Centre. The format of the forum this year has been updated and optimised, and the programme of events is focused on the business nature and performance of tasks of a special military operation.
The participants of the forum this year were specialists of the Russian Ministry of Defence, heads and general designers of enterprises and organisations of the defence industry, as well as military delegations of foreign countries. This year there are no free days for all interested parties.
