Attempt to attack Crimea with swarm of Ukrainian drones foiled

An attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by twenty-five unmanned aerial vehicles of aircraft type on objects on the territory of the Crimean peninsula has been foiled tonight, the Russian Defence Ministry has reported.

“Sixteen Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by air defence fire. Another nine were suppressed by means of electronic warfare and, having failed to reach the target, crashed in the waters of the Black Sea near Cape Tarkhankut. There were no casualties or damage as a result of the cross-country terrorist attack,” the military ministry said in a statement.

Also on the night of 30 July, the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack on Moscow with three UAVs. One of them was destroyed in the air over the territory of Odintsovo district of Moscow region, two more were suppressed by means of REB and crashed on the territory of the Moscow City complex. Vnukovo airport was closed for departures and arrivals due to the emergency.

Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry reported a terrorist attack on the Moscow and Rostov regions.

“The Russian Armed Forces foiled several attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation. A Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down in the Moscow region, while two S-200 air defence missiles converted into a strike version were intercepted in the Rostov region. The debris of the downed missiles fell on the territory of the city of Taganrog and in a deserted area near the city of Azov,” the 28 July report said.
