Delivery of Su-34 Frontline Bombers to the Russian Aerospace Forces

This year, the first two Su-34 frontline bombers was delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces as part of the execution of the state defense order. The aircraft were manufactured at the Novosibirsk Aircraft Plant named after V.P. Chkalov, which is part of the United Aircraft Corporation (a division of the Rostec State Corporation). After completing all factory tests, the aviation equipment was sent to the customer.

Su-34 frontline bombers are an important part of the striking power of the Russian frontline aviation. The capabilities of the aircraft allow for the use of advanced aviation weapons, increasing the range of hitting ground and maritime targets, and improving bombing accuracy.

“All the enterprises of the United Aircraft Corporation involved in the execution of the state defense order are not slowing down production rates. With the delivery of the first batch of Su-34 frontline bombers, we have started the supply of aircraft within the production program for the current year. The Novosibirsk plant confidently copes with the tasks set. The plant’s employees understand the importance of our equipment today,” said the CEO of the Public Joint-Stock Company “United Aircraft Corporation,” and Vice-President of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia Yuri Slusar.

The Novosibirsk aircraft plant is preparing for a new stage of modernization and technical re-equipment of production. The enterprise is provided with a stable workload both for the state defense order and for prospective projects. In this regard, the attraction of new employees is planned. Over this year, it is necessary to recruit more than 1000 production workers and engineering specialists.
