The enterprises of Kalashnikov Concern have increased production of Kub and Lancet kamikaze drones, the press service of the corporation told RIA Novosti.
“We are fully fulfilling our obligations under the state defense order, deliveries in a number of areas have increased manifold. At the same time, we continue to improve our technologies and developments,” the company stressed.
On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his address to the Federal Assembly that the Russian defense industry should implement cutting-edge developments to improve the army’s capabilities and ensure their mass production.
The “Kub” and “Lancet” drones were developed by Zala Aero. “Cubes” has a distinctive shape due to its wide triangular wing. The drone carries a warhead weighing three kilograms. The maximum flight time of the barrage munition is 30 minutes, speed – 130 kilometers per hour.
The base version of the Lancet has two cross-shaped wings, a cigar-shaped fuselage and is capable of carrying a three-kilogram warhead. Its top speed is 110 kilometers per hour and its range is 40 kilometers.
The upgraded version of the Lancet has new aerodynamics – the drone now has one large X-shaped wing and an X-shaped tail. This drone has a more powerful warhead – five kilograms – and an increased range.
