State Corporation Rostec will present its latest innovations at the fifth International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia” in Tashkent. Key exhibits will include the NK-14ST industrial gas turbine engine with a power output of 8.5 MW, designed for gas transport. This marks the United Engine Corporation’s first presentation of this development in Uzbekistan.
The NK-14ST serves as a driver for gas compressor units. The engine is characterised by its high power output and enhanced operational parameters. It has already proven its efficacy in Russia, where it is used for the modernisation of gas transmission systems. The implementation of the NK-14ST in Uzbekistan and other countries in the region will enable an increase in the capacity of compressor stations and an augmentation of gas supply volumes.
Rostec’s stand will also feature the UGPA-16(25) gas compressor unit and the AL-31ST engine with a power output of 16 MW. These solutions embody the latest technological advancements and are in demand in the gas turbine drive market.
Uzbekistan ranks among the top five CIS countries for gas production, making it a strategically important partner. Rostec offers a range of units for gas transmission systems, including environmentally friendly and energy-efficient models. In addition to the energy sector, the corporation will showcase developments for aviation, healthcare, and other industries.
The United Aircraft Corporation will present models of the Tu-214 and MC-21 medium-range airliners, the regional “Superjet 100,” and the Ansat light multi-purpose helicopter in the Uzbek capital. Uzbekistan is a long-standing and reliable partner of Russia in the aviation domain. The country is well-acquainted with Russian aircraft technology. The Tashkent Aviation Production Association (TAPOiCh) previously manufactured heavy transport aircraft such as the An-22 and Il-76.
Furthermore, joint projects in the areas of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and personnel training create additional opportunities for partnership. Uzbekistan, with its well-developed infrastructure and growing air transport market, may view Russian equipment as an optimal solution for fleet renewal.
The exhibition will be held at the “Uzexpocentre” in Tashkent from 28th to 30th April 2025, with the support of the Ministries of Industry of Russia and Uzbekistan.
