According to Evgeny Dietrich, the delivery of new aircrafts is aimed not only at renewing the fleet of airlines, but also at developing the domestic aircraft industry and achieving technological sovereignty, which is of great importance for the industry and the country in the current conditions.

Yury Slyusar noted the long-term financing mechanism for the supply of new aircraft, more than two hundred aircraft of various passenger capacity and range from mainline to regional will join the fleets of Russian airlines.

‘Cooperation with GTLK will help to implement the import substitution strategy, meet the airlines‘ demand for domestic aircraft and ensure transport accessibility and connectivity of Russia’s regions,’ commented Yuri Slyusar on the agreement.

As part of the Industry investment project, the possibility of financing aircraft leasing deals using the National Welfare Fund is being worked out. This will ensure a favourable leasing rate for domestic air carriers.
