ZALA Aero Group presented its new initiative development – Product 55. The short-range barrage munition is equipped with four electric motors and continues ZALA’s line of products using the X-wing aerodynamic scheme of the Lancet family.

The Product 55 is characterised by its ease of operation and is absolutely safe for the operator, thanks to its remote container launch. It provides real-time transmission of high-definition video (Full HD) up to the moment of hitting the target with the selection of the optimal approach angle.

Innovative technical solutions developed by ZALA’s engineering and development team distinguish the Product 55 from other barrage munitions and make it invulnerable to enemy electronic warfare (EW) assets. This key advantage ensures complete operator safety. Other technical specifications of the Product 55 have not been disclosed.

The Lancet multi-purpose drone has been demonstrating its ability to defeat armoured vehicles, artillery systems and MLRS installations since the first days of the special military operation in Ukraine. The kamikaze drone is also used by the Russian military to destroy enemy personnel, boats, aeroplanes and helicopters at airfields.

Earlier, the Russian Armed Forces received a version of the drone, Izdeliye 53, equipped with artificial intelligence, thanks to modernisation based on the experience of using Lancet barrage munitions. It is capable of independently identifying, capturing and attacking targets, making Izdeliye 53 one of the most formidable UAVs in its class.
