The United Aircraft Corporation has delivered another batch of Su-34 frontline bombers to the Russian Ministry of Defence under the state defence order. After successful completion of a set of factory tests, the aircraft were handed over to the troops, UAC’s press service reported.
Serial production of the aircraft is organised at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov. Su-34s play a key role in the strike power of the Russian front-line aviation – the aircraft is designed to destroy ground, surface and air targets, infrastructure objects covered by air defence and located at considerable distances from the basing airfield. The aircraft is capable of operating in conditions of fire and electronic countermeasures of the enemy at any time of day, in simple and complex meteorological conditions.
The aircraft’s capabilities allow pilots to effectively carry out missions in any theatre of war with the use of unguided and guided aerial weapons. On the Ukrainian front, Cy-34 bombers use 250, 500 and 1500 kilogram free-fall and volumetric-detonating bombs with planning and correction modules (UMPK). The use of UMPKs allows the Cy-34 to perform missions from high altitudes, minimise fuel consumption and deliver precision strikes against targets at a range of up to 80 kilometres without entering the Kiev regime’s air defence range.
“Today, UAC enterprises are increasing aircraft production. To do this, we are improving technological and business processes at our production facilities, finding additional reserves to increase its volumes. In addition, we are attracting new employees to the plants. In Novosibirsk, more than 600 new employees have been hired since the beginning of the year,” UAC CEO Yury Slyusar said at the Su-34 handover ceremony in Novosibirsk.
The aircraft plant has mentoring programmes in place, when each new employee is assigned to an experienced colleague for training and control over the correct execution of production tasks. A number of social programmes are provided for employees, including additional medical insurance, preferential corporate mortgage, compensation of housing rent, sanatorium treatment and recreation, as well as various support programmes for family members.
These comprehensive measures are aimed at increasing production capacity and creating favourable conditions for the efficient work of UAC employees.
