On the night of 4 October, fighter jets of the Russian Air and Space Forces prevented the landing of Ukrainian armed formations from landing near Cape Tarkhankut in Crimea, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
“In the north-western part of the Black Sea water area, the actions of the aircraft of the Russian Air Force foiled an attempt to penetrate into the territory of Crimea by a landing group of the AFU, travelling in the direction of Cape Tarkhankut on a fast military boat and three jet skis,” the military ministry said in a statement.
Earlier on 10 September, Russian planes destroyed three boats with Ukrainian troops heading towards Crimea near Zmeiny Island in the Black Sea. On 4 September, naval aviation destroyed four Willard Sea Force boats that were heading towards Cape Tarkhankut. Another Ukrainian DRG attempted to land in Crimea on 30 August, when Russian pilots eliminated four boats and about 50 people.
