Certification of the Il-114-300 aircraft, powered by the TV7-117ST-01 engines, is set to be completed by the end of this year. This was announced by Alexander Grachev, head of the United Engine Corporation. His comments were reported by TASS.

“This year, we’re finalising the certification of the Il-114 with the TV7-117ST-01 engines. Over 100 flights have already been conducted, and work is actively underway. This year, we’ll receive the relevant certificate for the aircraft with the engine, and six to seven engines will be dispatched this year,” he stated.

Simultaneously, certification of the PD-8 engine for the SJ-100 is progressing. It is anticipated that the Type Certificate will be obtained in the autumn of this year. The first SJ-100 aircraft with PD-8 engines are expected to be delivered to airlines in early 2026. This timeline was announced by Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, on 18th April during a visit to UEC-Saturn in Rybinsk. Engine tests are underway on the second SJ-100 prototype, and a third aircraft – featuring entirely Russian-produced components – is scheduled to fly this summer. The primary objective is to complete certification testing by the end of 2025.

Rostec recently refuted reports appearing in “Prime” news agency suggesting that the SJ-100 certification was being postponed to March 2026.

“Regarding recent publications concerning the postponement of the import-substituted SJ New certification, we wish to state:

The information regarding the postponement of the Superjet certification is inaccurate. Certification of the PD-8 engine is scheduled for autumn 2025. Additionally, the Superjet with domestically produced powerplants is expected to complete its flight certification program by the end of this year. We are proceeding according to the planned timeline. Deliveries of the aircraft to airlines are scheduled to commence in 2026,” Rostec’s press service stated.
