It is planned to allocate 1.94 billion rubles from the state budget in 2024-2025 for the development of the preliminary design of the MC-21 version of the airplane with a capacity of 140-150 passengers – MC-21-210. This follows from the draft government resolution published on the Federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
The document proposes to expand the list of costs for research and development work, the financing of which is carried out by Rostec State Corporation enterprises at the expense of the subsidy for the performance of work on the development of the preliminary design of a shortened modification of the MC-21-210 aircraft.
“Financing of work on the development of the preliminary design in the period of 2024-2025 will amount to about 1,940,000.0 thousand rubles, including 750,000.0 thousand rubles in 2024 and 1,190,000.0 thousand rubles in 2025, and will be carried out at the expense of the federal budget funds previously brought to the State Corporation Rostec,” the draft decree says.
The funds will be contributed to the authorized capital of PJSC “United Aircraft Corporation” for the implementation of civil aircraft construction projects.
At the initial stage of the MC-21 project development, the Yakovlev Engineering Center of Irkut Corporation developed two versions of the aircraft: the basic MC-21-200 and the enlarged MC-21-300. At the technical design stage, the UAC management decided to focus on the MC-21-300 version. In the import-substituted form, the airplanes have -210 and -310 indices respectively. The start of work on the MC-21-210 version was announced in April this year by Andrey Boginsky, CEO of Yakovlev PJSC.
