Ulyanovsk Instrument Engineering Design Bureau (UKBP), Radioelectronic Technologies Corporation (KRET), presented at the military-technical forum Army-2024 multifunctional indicator IM-133 for small aviation. This was reported in the press service of KRET.
The development is characterised by the ability to change the configuration, which allows it to be used both as a simple indicator and as an integrated piloting and navigation system. This gives significant flexibility in application and wide opportunities for integration on various types of aircraft from small aircraft to mainline liners.
The IM-133 indicator provides navigation support of flight and is responsible for receiving and measuring air pressure parameters, as well as calculating and displaying the parameters of the aircraft’s spatial position. Monitoring of the power plant operation makes the device multifunctional and in demand for operation. Equipping it with satellite navigation modules contributes to increased accuracy and reliability of flights.
Alexander Voit, Director General of UKBP, emphasised that the indicator has compact dimensions, which allows it to be installed on all types of aircraft. The device can replace the main functions of pilot navigation equipment, and the introduction of such innovations in small aviation implies an increase in flight safety and convenience for pilots.
To facilitate maintenance of the device, operational and technical documentation is loaded into the indicator memory and can be available on the display at any time. USB connector allows to connect control and test equipment, as well as to download and update the device software. These advantages make the IM-133 indicator an attractive solution for application in small aviation, providing a modern level of technology in the field of aviation instrumentation.
