Kazan Helicopter Plant completes import substitution of components for the Ansat helicopter. This was announced by the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, in his address to the republic’s parliament.

Due to the refusal of Western component suppliers to fulfill contracts amid sanctions, the enterprise suspended the production of the Ansat helicopter since spring 2022. In particular, the supply of Canadian Pratt & Whitney engines was discontinued. They are planned to be replaced with domestic VK-650B engines.

R. Minnikhanov clarified that currently, the Kazan Helicopter Plant has formed a solid order portfolio for the next three years, including export deliveries, and is expanding its production capacity. The investment amount for this expansion will be 28 billion rubles.
