An unmanned aerial vehicle of the Legionaire type manufactured by the Tikhiye Krylia Group of Companies (Kalashnikov Concern) has won the Aerologistics technological competition organised by the ANO Platform of the National Technological Initiative. As part of the competition, the UAV covered a distance of 660 kilometres with cargo on board, performed 20 takeoffs and landings in 9 hours 41 minutes 56 seconds and moved 200 kg of cargo between three sites. This was reported in the press service of Kalashnikov.
The unmanned aircraft Legionnaire (modification Aerologistics) is an electric aircraft of vertical takeoff and landing. The UAV is capable of delivering cargo to hard-to-reach places, conducting remote sensing of terrain and video monitoring. An analogue of this model has already been delivered under the national project BAS under the civil state order of the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC).
Concern Kalashnikov offers the market not only civilian drones, but also guided barrage munitions (GBM). The Concern’s press service reported that the advance shipment of KUB GBMs to the customer, as stipulated by the state contract, has been fulfilled.
The KUB complex is produced jointly with Izhevsk Unmanned Systems Research and Production Association LLC (Kalashnikov Concern). In 2024, this enterprise increased its production area tenfold, which made it possible to deploy mass production of products for various target purposes.
KUB is designed to defeat single and group objects of armoured vehicles in the tactical depth of the enemy. The range of guided barrage munitions is being improved due to close cooperation with the customer: today they are supplied with upgraded versions of the KUB GBM with increased power.
Kalashnikov Concern is also supplying kits of onboard radio-electronic equipment, software and communications. “These options can be purchased separately and installed on any customer’s UAV, regardless of its size and brand,” Kalashnikov emphasised.
