S7 moves all domestic flights to the new passenger terminal in Tolmachevo

S7 Airlines began operating all domestic departures and arrivals from the new passenger terminal at Tolmachevo Airport. On April 25, the airline moved passenger services for domestic flights from Sector A to Sector C. International S7 flights remain unchanged and are operated through Sector B, the airline’s press service reported.

Check-in for S7 Airlines passengers will be conducted in a dedicated area next to the main entrance to Sector C. The airline has kept all services available and the usual comfort for passengers in the new terminal. In the new terminal it is not necessary to use a paper boarding pass, to board the flight it is enough to show a QR-code on the screen of a smartphone.

The new passenger terminal of Tolmachevo Airport (Sector C) provides the possibility to increase the annual volume of passenger traffic up to 12 million passengers and more.

The airport terminal was built taking into account modern requirements for passenger service, including a large passenger traffic with a high proportion of transfer passengers and luggage. The terminal has received modern technical equipment: there are 54 check-in counters, 25 elevators, 18 escalators, six telescopic gangways, the necessary equipment for check-in, check-in and passenger services.

A new luggage handling system with a capacity of 4,800 pieces of luggage per hour allows the airport to simultaneously handle more than 20 flights per hour and fully meet the needs of the increasing number of passengers in the future. The three-level security screening system complies with international and Russian standards and norms.
