At the Army-2024 International Military-Technical Forum, Rosoboronexport presented the Lancet-E complex, an export version of the well-known Lancet strike UAV developed and manufactured by Aeroscan. The complex includes a reconnaissance drone Z-16-E and two carriers of guided munitions Izdeliye 51-E and Izdeliye 52-E, also known as Lancet-3 and Lancet-1, differing in range and mass of the warhead.
Permission to demonstrate the Lancet-E complex was obtained thanks to the advertising passport for military products, which allows openly demonstrating the complex, as well as publishing information about its characteristics and properties. According to Rosoboronexport Director General Alexander Mikheev, the demand for the export Lancet on the international market is estimated at more than 1,000 units.
The Lancet barrage munition has shown high effectiveness in real combat operations. It is capable of engaging various targets, including armoured vehicles, self-propelled and towed artillery units and MLRSs. Thanks to a huge number of video recordings of the destruction of Western vehicles, including German Leopards and American Abrams, the Lancet-E has gained great export potential.
“The presentation of the Lancet-E complex at the Army-2024 forum marked the beginning of Rosoboronexport’s promotion of this modern model to the world market. The complex has shown the highest efficiency on the battlefield and the ability to hit a wide range of targets – from any type of armoured vehicles and fortifications to surface targets. Thanks to this, today Lancet-E has a great export potential, which we estimate at more than one thousand systems. I am sure that after meeting the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the production capacities will allow us to successfully fulfil deliveries of the complex abroad,” said Alexander Mikheev.
In addition to the Lancet-E complex, Rosoboronexport successfully markets the Kub-E guided munition, as well as the Orlan-10E, Orlan-30 and Orion-E reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial systems. The company also offers foreign partners unmanned solutions for all application environments, including surface uncrewed boats, underwater unmanned vehicles and ground-based robotic systems.
