In the western part of the Black Sea water area near Zmeiny Island, the aircraft of the naval aviation of the Russian Black Sea Fleet destroyed three boats with the AFU landing force that were heading towards Crimea, the Defense Ministry said.

“Tonight in the western part of the Black Sea water area northeast of Zmeiny Island, the Black Sea Fleet’s naval aviation planes destroyed three US-made Willard Sea Force fast military boats with AFU landing groups traveling towards the Crimean coast,” the report said.

Earlier, on August 22, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that east of Zmeiny Island, a Russian Su-30SM aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a Willard Sea Force boat with an AFU landing group. According to the Rybar, on the same day a MiG-29 fighter jet detected and sunk another Willard Sea Force boat in 40 kilometers from Zmeinny, which was carrying personnel to one of the empty offshore drilling platforms. There was no official confirmation of this episode from the Defense Ministry.

On August 30, naval aviation planes eliminated four U.S. boats and up to 50 personnel of a landing group traveling toward Cape Tarkhankut on the Crimean coast to carry out terrorist actions.

On September 4, four more Willard Sea Force boats with the AFU landing party were sunk in the northwestern part of the Black Sea waters.

Thus, in recent times Russian naval aviators have sunk at least 12 American-made speedboats with enemy landing groups in the Black Sea.
