An Embraer Legacy business jet with the flight number RA-02795 belonging to Yevgeny Prigozhin crashed in the Tver region, Interfax, TASS and RIA Novosti news agencies reported.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed reports about the crash of a private airplane in the Tver region. According to the agency, the accident occurred at 18:40 Moscow time near the village of Kuzhenkino.
There were 10 people on board – three crew members and seven passengers. Rosaviatsia reported that on board the plane was Yevgeny Prigozhin himself.
“An investigation has been launched into the crash of the Embraer airplane, which occurred this evening in the Tver region. According to the list of passengers, among them is the name and surname of Yevgeny Prigozhin,” the agency said in a statement.
“According to preliminary data, all those on board were killed,” – reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations. It is specified that the plane was on a flight from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
According to flightradar24, the plane with the flight number RA-02795, a 16-year-old private Embraer Legacy 600, regularly flew the Moscow-St. Petersburg route. According to planespotters.net, the Wagner Group acquired this Embraer in September 2020, Kommersant specifies.
