ZALA Aero Group will present its GEOKOSMOS communications and navigation systems at the NAIS 2026 forum and exhibition, alongside the dedicated DroneTech unmanned systems showcase. The events will take place on February 4–5 at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Moscow and target developers, operators, and customers of aviation and unmanned systems.

GEOKOSMOS is positioned as a ground-based communications and navigation infrastructure designed to operate independently of satellite and cellular networks. The system architecture enables the creation of a localized navigation and data-exchange environment to support unmanned aerial systems (UAS), autonomous ground platforms, and crewed vehicles in environments where conventional communications are degraded or denied.

According to the developer, the system provides secure two-way data links, navigation support, and real-time collision avoidance functions. Operational trials have been conducted over a two-year period. The system has been deployed in three regions of Russia and used in border surveillance and security missions.

GEOKOSMOS extends beyond the unmanned aviation segment, reflecting a broader effort to develop a unified infrastructure for multiple transport and robotic platforms. The company reports compatibility with crewed aircraft, maritime and inland waterway vessels, and ground vehicles requiring autonomous navigation without reliance on global satellite navigation systems such as GPS.

ZALA’s exhibition at NAIS and DroneTech will also feature upgraded versions of the T-16 and T-20 unmanned aerial systems. These platforms are designed for aerial surveying and geospatial data processing. The announced configurations support extended-endurance missions, high-resolution video transmission, and onboard automated target detection and recognition algorithms.
