The launch of unmanned aerial vehicles in Moscow since May 3 is banned except for drones, which are used by the decision of the state authorities, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said in Telegram.
“The decision was taken to prevent the unauthorized use of UAVs, which can complicate the work of law enforcement agencies,” he explained. The mayor reminded that the unauthorized launch of UAVs is subject to administrative and criminal liability.
The decision was due to an attempted attack by two drones on the presidential residence in the Kremlin on the night of May 3, according to the press service of the Russian presidential administration. The drones were disabled, the head of state was not injured.
“Tonight the Kiev regime attempted a drone strike on the Kremlin residence of the president of the Russian Federation,” the report said.
“Two drones were targeted at the Kremlin,” the press release stressed. – As a result of timely actions taken by military and special services with the use of radar control systems, the devices were disabled. As a result of their fall and dispersion of fragments on the territory of the Kremlin, there were no victims or damage to property.
The Kremlin described the incident as “a planned act of terrorism and an attempt on the President of the Russian Federation, carried out on the eve of Victory Day, the May 9 parade, at which foreign guests are also expected to be present.
