Implementation of the Federal Targeted Investment Program for apron reconstruction continues at Moscow Domodedovo Airport. At the moment, the next stage of construction and assembly works has been successfully completed, within the framework of which more than 140 thousand Sq m of artificial pavement has already been put into operation. Work on the subsequent stages of construction on an area of more than 30 thousand square meters continues.

During the reconstruction of the air harbor apron there was used single-layer monolithic coverage without joints of plates with the bending tensile strength class Wb 4.8 and the frost resistance class F200. High-quality cement concrete has a high resistance to spalling at the joints during operation. This guarantees the durability and reliability of the pavement.

Within the framework of the apron reconstruction project, a jet protection shield was installed in front of the terminal complex to protect the buildings and structures of the air terminal complex as well as the motor transport traffic areas from the jet stream of the aircraft. This technical solution makes it possible to launch aircraft for taxiing on the thrust of their own engines without occupying taxiing routes on the apron, which speeds up the aircraft servicing process.

In addition, the reconstruction project provided for the construction of 12 access tunnels (pitkanals) to the aircraft parking areas near the new terminal complex. These constructions allow installing the equipment for servicing aircraft within the berths without using special vehicles, which reduces the traffic load on the ramp ways for special vehicles.

Implementation of the Federal Targeted Investment Program for the reconstruction of the apron at Moscow Domodedovo Airport will improve the conditions for servicing aircraft and increase flight safety.
