With the beginning of autumn-winter navigation in 2023-2024, Rossiya and Aurora airlines will start joint flights from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Blagoveshchensk and Krasnoyarsk, the press service of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Air Terminal JSC reported.

The frequency of flights to Blagoveshchensk will be three times a week – on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. This will double the number of flights to this destination. SSJ100 aircraft will be used for these flights. Flights to Krasnoyarsk will be performed twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport is ready to increase flights and develop its route network. Airport General Director Igor Shubeiko emphasised that the new terminal was created to expand the flight map for local residents and attract tourists to the island, and this is just one of the steps on the way to the development of the airport.

Tickets to Blagoveshchensk and Krasnoyarsk can be purchased at a fixed cost. Flat fare in Economy class is available for all passengers, including children and residents of different regions. The price includes in-flight meals, baggage allowance up to 23kg and hand luggage up to 10kg.

Also within the framework of the state programme to ensure the affordability of air travel, travellers can purchase tickets at subsidised fares. This provides an opportunity to save money on the flight and make air travel even more affordable.
