An airline debauchee will stand trial for gross violation of public order on board the aircraft of the Pobeda airlines. For attempting to break into the cockpit and beating a flight attendant, he faces up to seven years in a strict regime colony, reported in the West Siberian transport prosecutor’s office.
The incident occurred in February this year. The accused, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, tried to penetrate into the cockpit of the airplane B737-800, flying on the route Moscow – Barnaul. The flight attendant who blocked the path to the cockpit was beaten. The prosecutor’s office regarded the actions of the resident of Altai Krai as unlawful, creating a situation threatening the safety of the flight
“Barnaul transport prosecutor approved the indictment in the criminal case against a resident of the Altai Territory. He is accused of committing a crime under part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (‘Hooliganism’),” the agency reports.
The criminal case was transferred to the Industrial District Court of Barnaul for consideration on the merits.
