The excitement around drone countermeasures grows with each report of a new attack, but effective defense against drones is only possible with a comprehensive approach. Ruselectronics Holding demonstrated a comprehensive solution for building security systems to protect critical facilities from unauthorized drone intrusions to representatives of industrial enterprises and law enforcement agencies in the Omsk region. The holding’s press service told about it.
At the test site, the holding’s experts demonstrated the capabilities of Pischal-Pro and Dnepr anti-drone guns, Kupol portable omnidirectional action complex and SERP-VS5 suppression system capable of operating autonomously at a remote position and protecting both mobile and stationary objects.
“In the context of SVO [special military operation in Ukraine – RuAviation], countering the terrorist threat is one of the most urgent tasks. Ensuring effective anti-terrorist protection of critical infrastructure facilities, places of mass stay of people, transportation hubs, enterprises of defense industry, petrochemistry and fuel and energy complex is a necessity of today,” emphasized Andrey Posazhennikov, Minister of Industry and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region.
Concern Avtomatika showed operation of complexes Pischal-Pro and Kupol. Pishchal-Pro is one of the lightest devices in the market, its weight is 4.5 kg. The product operates simultaneously in five frequency bands at a range of more than two kilometers. The equipment allows for prompt suppression of communication channels, control and navigation of drones. To create an “impenetrable” protective hemisphere over an object, an omnidirectional complex “Dome” can be used. It operates simultaneously in 10 frequency bands, blocking the control of copters and their navigation in the upper hemisphere with a radius of at least 2 km.
Research Institute Vector demonstrated the capabilities of the device to suppress UAVs SERP-VS5. It monitors the airspace to 360 degrees and suppresses GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou signals and drone control signals. The equipment can be used both as part of the Protection UAV detection and suppression complex and as an independent device. Combining several SERP-VS5s into a single complex allows organizing protection of long objects.
“Today more and more often we see the use of drones for reconnaissance or strike action. The targets are mostly industrial enterprises and infrastructure facilities that provide vital activities of the population. The enterprises of our holding have developed a comprehensive solution that includes a whole line of anti-UAV products, which have proven their effectiveness in real conditions. The use of different types of equipment ensures perimeter protection of any objects regardless of their size, topographic features, and weather conditions,” said Andrey Chendarov, Deputy General Director of the United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation.
