HeliRussia 2026 is set to reposition itself as an industry-focused platform with a stronger emphasis on unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and import substitution, following a planning session held April 28 in Moscow.
The organizing committee for the 19th International Helicopter Industry and Unmanned Aerial Systems Exhibition reviewed preparation milestones for the event, scheduled for June 4–5 at Crocus Expo. The show is organized by the Helicopter Industry Association, with Russian Aviation House serving as the event operator.
After nearly two decades, HeliRussia has built a stable professional audience. Organizers expect more than 8,000 industry participants and over 50 companies from Russia and abroad to attend the 2026 edition.
This year’s agenda pivots toward applied industry challenges. Key focus areas include technological sovereignty, import substitution in critical components, and the development of UAS integrated with crewed aviation in shared airspace. Discussions will also address transport infrastructure efficiency and the expansion of low-altitude mobility concepts.
A dedicated track will examine the use of aviation in regional transport, logistics, and medical operations. The business program aligns with Russia’s long-term development objectives through 2030 and extending to 2036.
More than 20 business events are planned, structured across five core tracks: regional transport, flight safety, emergency aviation, workforce development, and infrastructure. These themes will anchor discussions throughout the two-day program.
The event will also include a recruitment fair aimed at connecting employers with industry specialists. Organizers plan to compile policy recommendations and proposals to strengthen regulatory frameworks and expand industrial cooperation following the exhibition.
The exhibition space will cover approximately 3,000 square meters (32,300 square feet), with up to 90% already booked. Confirmed participants include manufacturers of helicopters and unmanned systems, component suppliers, operators, maintenance providers, logistics firms, and training organizations. More than 50 foreign delegations and over 200 specialized media representatives are also expected.
During the committee session, organizers approved the structure of the business program, appointed track leads and moderators, and confirmed the launch of five thematic forums alongside a roadmap with defined performance metrics. The next planning meeting is scheduled for May 20, with visitor registration and media accreditation opening on May 4.
