Direct flights between Irkutsk and Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, will be launched on June 4, 2023. IrAero airline will fly on this direction once a week on Sundays on Superjet-100 planes with an increased flight range. This was reported in the press service of the carrier.

“The airline is systematically expanding the geography of flights in Asia. Earlier we opened several flights from Irkutsk to Harbin and Manchuria in China, as well as to the capital of Mongolia,” said the general director of IrAero Yuri Lapin. He underlined that this was possible due to the active work of the airline with the support of the Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency.

Today there is no air communication between Russia and Vietnam for more than two years. IrAero believes that this route will be in demand not only among tourists, but also among businesses and is ready to increase the frequency of flights if necessary. Pay for tickets for connecting flights of Vietnamese carriers from Hanoi you can also pay by cards of domestic banks. This service can be used through one of the reservation services, the airline said.

“For the successful resumption of air communication we need to solve the problem of selling air tickets in Vietnam, and the structures responsible for the development of tourism to update the tourist product,” said Deputy Director General of IrAero Sergey Krupnov.

The SSJ100-95LR will depart from Irkutsk to Hanoi on Sundays at 19:00 local time and arrive in Vietnam at 23:00. Travel time is five hours. The return flight will depart from the capital of Vietnam in an hour and a half with the arrival time in Irkutsk the next morning at 07:40.

According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, the fleet of IrAero has five Superjet 100 aircraft with an increased flight range of 1,470 kilometers. The basic version can fly 2,950 kilometers without landing, the SSJ100-95LR can fly up to 4,420 kilometers.
