Changes in the rules for the application of state and registration marks on aircraft will affect only those aircraft whose state registration will take place after the entry into force of the new rules (from September 2023), it follows from a document of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

The state and registration markings must be placed on the left half of the lower surface of the wing. The previous document prescribed to place the state identification mark on the right half of the lower surface of the aircraft wing, the registration identification mark – on the left half of the lower surface of the wing.

The state mark is shown in the form of two letters of the Latin alphabet RA, the registration mark consists of five Arabic numerals and letters of the Latin alphabet. The new rules are valid until September 1, 2029.
