The Siberian Research Institute of Aviation named after S.A. Chaplygin (SibNIA) is testing a set of piloting and navigation equipment manufactured by JSC “Navigator” onboard the aircraft TVS-2MS.

The first successful flight of TVS-2MS with the airborne avionics by JSC “Navigator” was made in January 2023. Now SibNIIA specialists are testing the avionics in different modes of operation of the aircraft.

TVS-2MS is equipped with up-to-date multifunctional liquid-crystal displays, SO-2010 aircraft responder, VPNP-1M flight and navigation parameter calculators with built-in inertial sensors and calculator for airborne signals system, MDMK-1 magnetometer, conversion and coupling device. It is also planned to install on the plane domestic satellite dishes AS-005, developed in the “Navigator” as part of the import substitution.

All the equipment, which the TVS-2MS is equipped with, is Russian-made and has high competitive characteristics. Testing on the aircraft will allow to adapt the products to the customer and, if necessary, to improve the man-machine interface for ease of operation.
