A delegation comprising senior representatives from United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Rostec, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), United Engine Corporation (UEC), and KRET (Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies) inspected the MC-21 assembly line at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. During the visit, the team assessed the MC-21 program’s component requirements for 2025. Discussions focused on ensuring stable production capacity utilization and meeting the planned output targets for MC-21 aircraft, according to UAC’s press service.

As part of the investment program review, the delegation identified a list of specialized machinery required to fulfill production objectives. The new equipment will be installed within the plant’s existing facilities, optimizing manufacturing processes without expanding infrastructure. This approach is expected to reduce costs and accelerate the adoption of new technological solutions.

The readiness of the MC-21 program for the commencement of flight testing of the fully import-substituted prototype, tail number 73057, was also evaluated. The delegation outlined the necessary steps to prepare for the aircraft’s maiden flight following modifications to accommodate domestically produced components. Certification of the new Russian airliners remains a priority for Rosaviatsiya, as compliance with all procedures is directly linked to operational safety.

During a meeting with plant personnel, working conditions and employee compensation were discussed. Management decided to continue the housing support program and increase wages starting in 2025. These measures aim to attract and retain skilled professionals, which is critical for the successful implementation of large-scale aerospace projects.
