JSC Komiaviatrans and JSC Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) have signed an agreement of intent regarding the supply of TVRS-44 “Ladoga” aircraft to the Republic of Komi, said the head of the Republic Vladimir Uyba in a video message in his Telegram-channel.

“On the instructions of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ural plant is developing a turboprop regional 44-seat aircraft under the working name “Ladoga”. In order for the Komi Republic to be included in the production calendar of the plant program for 2026-2030 and to be able to claim to receive these planes as soon as possible, our region was one of the first to sign such an agreement with the Ural Civil Aviation Plant,” he said.

According to Vladimir Uiba, in the near future the main tactical and technical characteristics of the aircraft will be coordinated with the factory and the list of necessary equipment will be approved. “The Ladoga will be a promising and successful replacement for outdated models,” added the head of the region.

Earlier, on March 2, UZGA and KrasAvia signed a letter of intent stipulating the purchase of 20 TVRS-44 Ladoga turboprop regional jets by the Krasnoyarsk air carrier from 2026 to 2030 and the organization of test operations of the Ladoga aircraft in the actual geographical and climatic conditions of Siberia and the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
