The Smolensk aircraft plant will assemble a complete wing caisson and wing assembly in cooperation for the production of TVRS-44 Ladoga turboprop aircraft.

This was announced by the general director of JSC Smolensk Aviation Plant Andrey Toporkov at a meeting with the Acting Regional Governor Vasily Anokhin.

“Prospective plans, starting from 2026, for 25-30 wing sets in the assembly for TVRS-44 Ladoga,” Toporkov said.

The largest contractor in the creation of 44-seat aircraft Ladoga, which the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) is developing by order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, was the Samara plant Aviakor. Alexei Gusev, the general director of the Samara-based aircraft building company, told this on March 21, 2023, at the meeting of the economic stability staff at the government of the Samara region.

According to him, the contract with UZGA was signed in the middle of March. “We have to make four fuselages for testing and certification of the new aircraft. We have retained all the competencies after we froze the An-140 program, now we will begin to actively produce new equipment,” the press service of the Samara region government quotes Aviakor general director as saying.

The final assembly of the aircraft will take place at the UZGA site in Yekaterinburg.
