In Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Yakovlev CEO Andrey Boginsky visited the Production Centre to check the progress of work on the SJ-100 prototypes and the organisation of assembly of the first production aircraft. At the Specialisation Centre, Andrey Boginsky also inspected the production of doors and hatches for the MS-21 aircraft. A set of doors for the serial MS-21 aircraft with the number MS.0020 is currently being assembled.

“It is planned that on the basis of this centre the production of doors and hatches for all civilian projects of the United Aircraft Corporation, including Tu-214 and Il-114-300, will be established,” reports TG-channel Notes of Aircraft Builders.

The Yakovlev Production Centre in Komsomolsk-on-Amur plans to build a second hangar for two aircraft. There are also plans to build a facility for special vehicles and rescue equipment.

Starting from 2024, the Production Centre is to produce 20 Superjets annually. The first flight of the second SJ-100 prototype aircraft with PD-8 (97003) engines is expected in early 2024, and certification of the “Russified” Superjet is scheduled for the end of the year.
