In Ulan-Ude, the Radioelectronic Technologies (KRET) concern began mass production of modern brushless electric motors, which are used in unmanned aircraft systems, industry and mechanical engineering. The production volume is expected to be more than 1 million products per year, the press service of the Rostec State Corporation reported.

Electric motors produced at the Ulan-Ude Instrument-Making Production Association are made from Russian components. At the moment, U-UPPO has mastered the production of four modifications of brushless electric motors. The developed design and technological documentation for small-scale production is being adapted to mass production. The company plans to master the production of ten more product modifications, as well as a range of commutator motors.

The electric motors produced at the enterprise received the names of the Baikal branches: “Sarma”, “Barguzin”, “Khius” and “Kultuk”. Each model has different characteristics, including power. For example, the Sarma electric motor is capable of lifting drones weighing up to 11 kilograms into the air.

The implementation of the project at the Ulan-Ude Instrument-Making Association will create a Russian center of competence for modern microelectric machines, including electric motors, resolvers, sine-cosine transformers, generators and other equipment for various industries.

Today, the KRET enterprise is the only one in Siberia and the Far East that develops modern lines of brushless, stepper electric motors and generators.
