Funding for the production of aircraft of the MS-21 family will be increased by 1.14 billion rubles in 2024. This follows from the materials to the draft federal budget for 2024-2026, TASS reports.
In 2025, an additional 625.4 million rubles will be allocated, in 2026 – 619.8 million rubles. The increase in funding is due to the growth in the volume of work on the creation of MS-21 aircraft, the report said.
In addition, the United Aircraft Corporation will receive 5.2 billion rubles more for the implementation of civil aircraft construction projects in 2024, 1.6 billion rubles more in 2025 and 449.2 million rubles more in 2026.
Earlier in July, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told TASS that about 280 billion rubles would be allocated from the National Wealth Fund for MS-21. According to him, funds from the NWF are allocated for major technological or infrastructure projects, including aircraft and shipbuilding, and leasing of domestic aircraft. “That is, the money from the NWF goes for economic development, for projects that are most important for the country’s technological independence,” the minister said.
