Russia’s Il-114-300 turboprop regional airliner has arrived in Vladivostok ahead of the Eastern Economic Forum, where the aircraft will be demonstrated to airlines and prospective customers in the Russian Far East.
Aircraft 54116 arrived at Knevichi Airport on 30 August after flying from Zhukovsky via Krasnoyarsk. The aircraft covered nearly 7,000 km on the positioning flight, including about 6 hours 40 minutes between Zhukovsky and Krasnoyarsk and a further seven hours to Vladivostok.
The aircraft is one of the Il-114-300 airframes being used to support the programme’s certification and market introduction. It received its Russian type certificate from the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) on 5 June. Additional certification testing was conducted in Uzbekistan in July and August at temperatures of about 40°C.
Aircraft 54116 is powered by two TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engines produced by United Engine Corporation (UEC). The same aircraft flew from Zhukovsky to Hyderabad in January for the Wings India air show, covering about 7,600 km via Makhachkala and Ras Al Khaimah. The flight formed part of the aircraft’s flight-test campaign, including long-range operations and testing in hot-climate conditions.
Serial deliveries of the Il-114-300 are expected to begin in 2026–27. The State Transport Leasing Company signed a lease agreement at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2026 for three aircraft for Arkticheskie Avialinii, with the first scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026 and two more in 2027.
Aurora Airlines has also signed a memorandum of intent covering three Il-114-300s, with a firm contract expected in the coming months. Certification for operations from unpaved runways is targeted for completion in 2027.
