Another batch of four Mi-35M attack and transport helicopters has been delivered to the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the Republic of Belarus. Pilots who will fly these helicopters underwent training at the Armed Forces training center in Russia, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

After a flight of over 2000 kilometers from Russia, on April 7, the helicopters arrived at one of the airfields in Belarus.

Externally similar to its predecessor, the Mi-24, the Mi-35M has significant differences. Modern onboard radio-electronic equipment and a reliable power plant consisting of two VK-2500 turboshaft engines ensure the helicopter’s readiness to effectively carry out missions in any conditions. The X-shaped tail rotor reduces noise, making the aircraft less acoustically noticeable.

The first batch of Mi-35M helicopters, as part of the plan for the construction and development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and military-technical cooperation with Russia, was transferred to Minsk in August 2023. This cooperation allows the allied state to strengthen its defense and enhance the readiness of the Armed Forces against various possible threats.

The Mi-35M is a powerful combat helicopter capable of employing a wide range of aviation weapons. It can be used in various missions, including supporting ground forces, counter-terrorism operations, and reconnaissance missions. By acquiring these helicopters, Belarus significantly enhances its capabilities in defense and protection of its territory.
