In accordance with the aircraft production schedule for the Il-96-300, the fuselage and wing consoles of the next serial aircraft have been delivered from the assembly shop to the final assembly shop of the branch of PJSC “Il” – Voronezh Aircraft Manufacturing Company (VASO). This was reported by the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

All major stacking assembly work was completed within three months – the shortest assembly cycle in recent years. Today, the eighteen-ton unit was towed onto the technological chassis, allowing the future airliner to “feel” the takeoff runway of the factory airfield,” commented UAC.

According to the comprehensive aviation industry development program, VASO is expected to produce twelve of Il-96-300 aircraft by 2030. It is planned that no new aircraft will be rolled out in 2024. In 2025, the team is expected to build two airliners, one in 2026, followed by 2 in 2027, 2 in 2028, 3 in 2029, and 2 in 2030. All 12 aircraft are intended to be leased to Russian airlines for commercial passenger transport.

As per the plan, another Il-96-300 aircraft assembly units are expected to be delivered for final assembly this year. Thus, the Voronezh aircraft builders are maintaining the planned production pace of two wide-body aircraft annually as part of the production program.
